12M meeting

On June 13th and 14th, the THERMOFIRE CBE-JU consortium met in Miranda de Ebro for the 12-month meeting of the project.

This was an opportunity to take stock of the project's activities after a first year dedicated to coordination and the launch of the first workpackages. Much of the discussion focused on the ongoing technical activities associated with:

• Identification, development and combination of the various bio-based components (fibers, matrix and flame-retardant additives)
• The processing and characterization of composite materials for aerospace, automotive and textile applications.

The initial work and results highlight the major challenges to be met over the coming months, and for the remainder of the project, towards prototyping and environmental assessment of the target products.

The meeting was also an opportunity to bring the partners together for a convivial moment and a visit to the Castillo de Miranda de Ebro. Many thanks to Fundación Centro Tecnológico Miranda de Ebro team for its warm welcome, the tour of its facilities and the convivial time organized for the consortium.
